Gameopedia is looking for a talented and dynamic inside sales professional with around 2-3 years of relevant experience, who can deliver measurable success through leads generated by outbound reach out. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated, pro-active, an excellent communicator and can work equally well collaboratively or alone. The role’s primary focus is to work closely in the Sales & Marketing function to develop and deliver a healthy lead generation program, driving qualified leads into the sales pipeline. This position will be based at our Hyderabad office, with the potential to travel as we expand internationally across the US, Europe, Middle East and East Asian Markets. The candidate will be exposed to significant learning and will be groomed on how to initiate and nurture deals from the interest generation to project delivery initiation phase. The Sales & Marketing function being new, is ripe with first mover opportunity and significant freedom will be given to contribute ideas and set professional goals.

From facts, analyses and insights to high definition videos and images, our video game database is leveraged by tech giants across the globe to fuel millions of consumer decisions every day.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Lead Management:

A. Identify strong potential prospects using initiative and creativity, to generate outbound lead opportunities.

B. Manage, nurture and convert inbound leads into sales opportunities.

C. Assist in articulating Gameopedia’s value proposition to potential customers.

D. Maintain well organized, up-to-date, and accurate sales information and activity reports in the CRM system.


2. Product Knowledge:

A. Develop a strong knowledge of Gameopedia’s products and offerings in order to facilitate the sales process.

B. Understand how Gameopedia’s products and services can meet customers’ needs in various business verticals in the gaming ecosystem and connected industries.


3. Communication:

A. Interact with potential customers via telephone, email, video conferencing, webinars, or in person, to discover their business needs and develop positive business relationships.

B. Work closely within a small sales & marketing team and develop effective working relationships with all colleagues.

C. Provide accurate and timely sales updates and reports to stakeholders when required.

D. Proficient in the use of social media tools like LinkedIn, Twitter, and lead contact search tools.


4. B2B Sales:

A. Manage complex enterprise sales throughout the sales cycle.

B. Play a key role in the preparation of proposals and the presentation of professional product demonstrations, via webinars or face to face meetings.

C. Represent Gameopedia at corporate events or sales meetings independently or with colleagues.

D. Eventually meet sales targets and contribute significantly towards Gameopedia’s sales goals and profitability.

E. Must quickly be able to show a track record of generating successful leads and meeting or exceeding targets.


Required Experience:


1. 2+ years of relevant experience and a proven track record in prospecting and lead generation through personalized, contextual & research-based communication. 1-2 years’ experience in sales management is preferred but not mandatory.

2. Experience in B2B sales, preferably in enterprise software solutions, the cloud space or the IT sector.

3. A strong ability to develop a good understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.

3. Proficient in managing the sales pipeline using CRM systems.

4. Experience working collaboratively in a combined sales & marketing team.

5. An existing track record of customer acquisition and increasing sales revenue for past employers, w.r.t. Quota assigned.

• Conscientious, hard-working, and driven to improve sales and activity performance beyond targets.

• Competent IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Apps, and social networking tools.

• Good organizational and time management skills with the flexibility to reprioritize as necessary.

• Must be highly proficient in all aspects of the English language, especially speaking, listening, and writing skills.

• An Engineering Degree is preferred but not essential.

• Willingness to travel and work with global professionals.

• Must be passionate about the Gaming, Analytics, and Big data industries.
