The Job:

Gameopedia plans to answer these questions by combining state-of-the-art machine learning, unique metadata and a profound understanding of the human mind to create the truly personalized experiences of the future. You will be spearheading the growth of our revolutionary new product that will allow us to make video game recommendations that align with people's fundamental motivations every single time. As our number one deal maker you will collaborate closely with our product and marketing teams and focus on developing strategic long-term technology partnerships.

 

We are a global team of 60 gaming junkies who manage one of the world's largest living libraries of video game metadata. Through partnerships with some of the world's biggest technology companies, our data receives billions of impressions every month and now we want you to take us to the next level.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the landscape and stay on top of the latest industry trends.
  • Evaluate and present opportunities to management.
  • Open doors negotiate and close business deals.
  • Work on a wide range of partnerships, ranging from building scalable partner programs to highly negotiated deals.
  • Nurture and manage key relationships.
  • Negotiate business and technical terms with strategic partners.
  • Draft deal terms and redline contracts.
  • Present at trade events and conferences.
  • Work closely with our Management, Technology, Marketing and Legal teams.

Qualifications:

  • MBA, ideally with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science as well.
  • 5-10 years relevant experience in the tech industry (ideally in e-commerce).
  • Experience identifying partners, analyzing and structuring complex deals with a proven track record of deal negotiation and execution.
  • Strategic thinker capable of driving a partnership from concept to execution
  • Experience in product management or product marketing is a plus
  • Deep negotiation experience, including legal aspects.
  • Go-getter with the ability to work effectively with little supervision in a dynamic startup like environment.
  • Highly charismatic with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside of Gameopedia.
  • Creative, resourceful, data-driven and detail-oriented with the ability to quickly learn about new technologies.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and manage several time-sensitive project/deals at once in a fast paced environment with minimal direction.
  • Video game industry experience and passion for the medium is a big plus.

Experience and Education:

Experience: 5-10 years relevant experience in the tech industry (ideally in e-commerce).

Education: MBA, ideally with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science as well.
